Comment from Rebekah Lowry:

An update on Austin to help you all pray specifically:

He was able to go home a couple of weeks ago, after being in the hospital for a week and a half. The doctors said that the blood clot was most critical and unstable during the first 72 hours after they found it and put him on blood thinners. It still makes his leg hurt, but he is walking (a little every couple of hours or so) and going up stairs (slowly!). He is still on blood thinners and doctors have told him he will be undergoing chemo for the next 12 weeks. A huge praise is that doctors have said in just the 3 chemo treatments so far the tumors in his lungs and abdomen are shrinking. They will hopefully be removing the primary tumor after the planned rounds of chemo, as his white blood cell count needs to be up before surgery.

Overall his spirits are really good and he and his family are trusting in the Lord for strength and healing. I suppose the biggest prayer requests for right now are for the side effects of the chemo to be minimal (as he has felt crummy every time so far, so he isn’t looking forward to 3 months of it) and for his spirits as he has to take it extremely easy and lay around a lot. Please continue to pray that he will drawn closer and closer to the Father in the coming months and that he will find strength and hope in His promises.

Thank you so much for your prayers and asking for updates! :)
